Bear in Blumenort

Late Thursday evening while me and my girlfriend were going for a walk around Blumenort, we were informed by a local that a black bear was spotted in town. After quickly heading home we grabbed my camera and went searching for the bear. We found it at Reimer Signs, on the west end of Blumenort.

The bear was first spotted around 8:00pm on May 21st.

The RCMP was informed of the bear and have set up a trap in order to relocate it. At this time the trap has not been successful.

So far the bear has not displayed any aggression towards humans, but has shown an interest in tearing down local bird feeders.
